Application of peristaltic pump in beverage processing

2022-04-24
Requirements:
A semi-liquid concentrate is required to be delivered at a flow rate of 8.0 mL/min. The installation space was small and the operator wanted the pump to have remote switching.
Solution:
A BT100M single-channel pump in the speed range from 0 to 100rpm, using a 1.6mm inner diameter pipe. The flow rate can be flexibly changed under the condition that the pump speed is always at a moderate level. Pharmed meets FDA and NSF standards while providing long service life and excellent performance when delivering semi-liquid concentrates. In addition, after setting the speed on the pump, the pump can be controlled remotely through the external control interface on the back of the fuselage.
Application Example (Peristaltic Pump vs gear pump)
A quality control technician needs to draw drinks from a spectrophotometer sample pool. Flow rates range from 0.8 to 1.2 mL/min. The technician wishes to transfer a blank solvent simultaneously at the same flow rate.
The advantages of the Rayford peristaltic pump:
To replace the sample, only the pump pipe needs to be replaced;
The dual-channel pump can transfer samples and blank solvents simultaneously.
Different flow rates can be achieved by changing pump tube size or adjusting driver speed;
Disadvantages of gear pump:
Carefully flush the pump before changing the sample;
With double-channel function, technicians need to adjust and operate two respectively;
Application of peristaltic pump in soft drink filling
Requirements:
A soft drink dispenser needs to deliver airless soda water to a densitometer at a rate of about 50 mL/min. This is a decisive step in the quality assurance process for bottling equipment.
Solution:
The BT100M precision pump with remote control can maintain the controlled flow rate of the filling machine without the need to purchase a digital model. Tygon? The high transparency of the pump tube makes it easy for the user to observe the fluid condition. The driver can be locked at the required speed, and then the pump can be switched on and off remotely.
Application in dairy processing
Application scheme:
A dairy processor needs to deliver 30% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into a sterile canning system at relatively high back pressure (30 to 40 psi).
The advantages of a peristaltic pump:
H2O2 is compatible with the pump tube material, and the decomposition degree is controlled at a minimum.
A steady flow rate can be maintained under the condition of back pressure;
The service life of the pump pipe can be up to 3 months, minimizing the maintenance cost;
IP66 protection level driver is the ideal choice for the dairy processing environment;
Disadvantages of diaphragm pump:
Hydrogen peroxide breaks down on metal to produce oxygen;
There is backpressure, the diaphragm pump is difficult to work properly;
