Application of peristaltic pump in spectrophotometer analysis

When using a UV-visible spectrophotometer to analyze a large number of liquid samples, it will be a very troublesome thing if the traditional cuvette is used. Because each replacement of a sample for testing, we must first take out the sample pool after the previous sample, then clean with distilled water, and finally re-into the new sample for testing. This traditional method works when the sample size is small but becomes more troublesome when the sample size is large.
The application of a Peristaltic Pump in spectrophotometer analysis can effectively solve the problem of sample transmission and repeated cleaning:
(1) Tighten the spanner of the Peristaltic Pump Hose forward to make the sample suction hose of the peristaltic pump in a tight state; Cover the sample chamber.
(2) Insert the cleaning liquid into the suction pipe, press the clean button, the peristaltic pump starts to rotate, and the cleaning liquid is sucked into the flow pool and then discharged from the discharge pipe; The cleaning time is determined by the operator. As long as the cleaning button is released, the cleaning will stop.
(3) After the sample solution is inserted into the suction tube, press the suction switch, and the peristaltic pump starts to rotate; When the sample is sucked in about 1 ml, the peristaltic pump stops rotating. At this point, the flow tank has been filled with about 0.8 ml of sample, and the instrument starts to measure. When the test is over, if you need to recycle the test sample, you can press the back button; The sample originally injected into the circulation tank can then be reversely transferred to the sample bottle. If there is no need to recycle the original sample. At this point, the suction tube can be inserted into the cleaning solution, and then press the clean button to flush the circulation pool.

(4) Continue to test the next sample according to the previous step. This cycle of testing, until the sample, is tested.
