This is especially important for organic samples. Because of the higher atomization efficiency of organic samples, a lower injection rate must be used. Increasing the rate of injection usually improves the signal strength because the amount of sample reaching the central channel of the plasma is all increased, and because the temperature of the central channel is also decreased, the background is usually decreased. But in addition to these benefits, the noise level may increase, the interference may increase, and of course, the sample consumption will also increase. In the measurement process, the sample injection speed is usually set as 1 mL/min, and the pump speed is between 10-20rpm. If lower speeds are required (for organic samples, for example) a Peristaltic Pump Tube with a smaller bore must be used rather than set the pump speed to a slower speed. A very slow pump speed will increase the pulsation and decrease the stability of the injection.
