What are the differences between the peristaltic pump and diaphragm pump?

2021-04-25
Peristaltic Pump and diaphragm pump are two relatively new types of pumps. Now it is the rising market of these two pump products, and they are constantly seizing the market of other products. Now we will explain in detail the differences between the peristaltic pump and diaphragm pump.
1. Diaphragm pump needs air pressure to drive, and the air pressure also needs part of the cost. For the air source, the consumption of the diaphragm pump is much more than that of the peristaltic pump.
2. Diaphragm pump is driven by air pressure, so the outlet is limited by air pressure. When the air pressure reaches the limit, the pump will stop working, but the peristaltic pump does not.
3. When the diaphragm pump is damaged, it can cause some fluid to flow out, but the peristaltic pump can avoid this phenomenon.
4. Diaphragm pump will have a ball valve when the system contains positive back pressure to close the whole pump circuit, otherwise, there will be no way to work normally.
5. Although the cost of a diaphragm pump in the early stage is much less than that of a peristaltic pump, the investment in the later stage is larger than that of a peristaltic pump, so we must understand this.
